about us
Your guides are Alex, Victor and Alex Jr.
Alex is well known for his superior knowledge of
Cozumel lagoons and local lore.
He has been thrilling flats fishermen for years with the exciting variety
of fish he can locate for you in the shallow flats.
Alex started fishing in Cozumel in 1985.
His experience also includes guide work
in Ascension Bay (Punta Pàjaros) and Cancun.
Alex ties his own flies and also makes some wiggler jigs.
He and his guides are experienced in fly fishing and spin tackle.

Our business is family owned.
Our guides speak English.
Our collective experience as fishing guides is 33 years.
Our business is insured and registered.
Our boats are equipped with life jackets and VHF radio.
Our Mexican Panga boats are 23' and 25' and equipped with Yamaha 48 and 60 HP four stroke outboard motors.
We have 6 - 8wt rods (Orvis, Echo, Sage, Gold Cup) with 3 - 8wt Ross reels, right and left handed.
We have 10 Ugly Stick spin rods with Penn and Shimano reels.
Our guides practice "catch and release" as required by law.
Our rates are competitively priced.
Alex, Alex Jr. and his family recently participated in the restoration, preservation and conservation of the lagoons and flats on the island.

Signed up for the 6-hour trip. Alex and Alex Jr. were my guides. Alex was very responsive to my email questions. I am somewhat new to fishing. Father and son gave me casting instruction and did the sightings for me. Alex Jr. hooked a bonefish and let me reel it in (with more instruction, of course!). It was thrilling. And very satisfying to release the fish back into its home. On the way back, there was a very turquoise patch of shallow water which would have been purr-fect for a swim. Next time.

Alex is an excellent guide and is reel patient with beginners like my wife. Cozumel flats are underrated and a good choice if you want a pleasant day or are on a hunt. He loves to fish and will take you out a LONG time. Good rates.
